Example

The price of EUR/USD is 1.1398 at the expiration moment, which means that the trade outcome is negative. The trader loses the $10 investment. However, with the risk-free option, the trader is reimbursed by the broker and gets their $10 back. Their balance becomes equal to that before they placed the latest trade with the risk-free option.
